Andrii Golovynskyi is a researcher at Kyiv Institute of Cybernetics NAS of Ukraine. Roman Iakymchuk works as a post-doctoral researcher at Institut Mines-Télécom – Télécom SudParis, France in the field of high-performance scientific computing. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science at RWTH Aachen, Germany. During my doctoral studies I had been working on two research projects: High-performance computing on clouds; Performance modeling and prediction for linear algebra algorithms. The first project aimed at analyzing the usability and the efficiency of public commercial clouds for high-performance computing. The second is focused on modeling the performance of direct linear algebra algorithms without executing either an algorithm nor its building blocks. The results of both projects have been presented at several conferences and workshops – such as the PMBS'11 workshop on the SC'11 conference – and published in a journal paper and a book chapter.
